Little Kennisis Bathroom

Little Kennisis Bathroom

The catalyst for the Little Kennisis bathroom was a dream of retiring to this beautiful cottage. The owners wanted to update the bathroom to modernize the design, improve the layout and make it accessible.

We started by modifying the floorplan. This involved reconfiguring a couple awkward and unsafe areas like the positions of the toilet and vanity. A new tub, fixtures and Cambria Newport quartz countertop immediately elevated the space. We also repainted the original vanity in Hale Navy by Benjamin Moore. The new tongue-and-groove cedar ceiling gives the space a warmth and woodsy feel. For safety, a grab bar was installed in the tub, and another roughed-in beside the toilet for quick, easy installation if needed in future. Finally, the heated mosaic tile floor adds comfort, style and “anti-slip” safety.
